Discussions focused on scaling up sustainable investments, innovative financing, and partnerships for climate action. The opening ceremony featured addresses from the AfDB and the Ivorian Ministry of Economy and Finance, reaffirming DFIs\u2019 strategic role in advancing Africa\u2019s sustainable development agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2025 Annual Workshop of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI), held on May 26, 2025, at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, marked the Association\u2019s 50th Anniversary. Under the theme \u201cJoining Forces for a More Sustainable and Greener Future for African DFIs,\u201d the event was hosted by Ivorian AADFI members\u2014Banque Nationale d\u2019Investissement (BNI), Caisse des D\u00e9p\u00f4ts et Consignations de C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire (CDC-CI), and Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Garantie des Cr\u00e9dits aux PME (SGPME)\u2014with the support of the African Development Bank (AfDB). The workshop\u2019s objectives included reflecting on AADFI\u2019s five-decade journey, scaling up sustainable investments, exploring innovative financing, and fostering partnerships to advance the sustainability agenda. Over 250 delegates representing DFIs, MDBs, central banks, academia, and private sector organizations from 36 countries attended.
